Artificial Intelligence for Spring Boot

If you’re using Spring and want to add AI planning, use the OptaPlanner Spring Boot Starter to get up and running quickly. That starter has the same features as the Quarkus extension, except for the typical Quarkus benefits (such as subsecond bootstrap performance and native compilation).

Guide

Read the OptaPlanner on Spring Boot guide.

Quick start

Run the quick start yourself:

  1. Git clone https://github.com/kiegroup/optaplanner-quickstarts

  2. Descend into the directory spring-boot-school-timetabling

  3. Run mvn spring-boot:run

  4. Open http://localhost:8080 in your browser and click on the Solve button.
